The Blackberry Curve offers a sleek and stylish appearance meaning it is an extremely aesthetically pleasing handset. It houses both a full QWERTY keyboard and a large HVGA+ display, the size and shape of the phone allow the user to conduct both one and two thumb typing with ease. The trackball located on the front of the device enables the user to scroll through and select the various icons on screen. Six icons appear on the front of the screen whilst the others appear in the main menu, users are able to select which application they want to appear where, for example the most used features can be placed on the main screen in order for quick access.
The phone measures 4.29 by 2.36 with a depth of 0.53 inches. The device weighs only 3.87 ounces and fits into the hand comfortably.
The Blackberry Curve 8900 smartphone features an impressive 480 by 360 pixel display, which means images; maps and text all appear clearly, even when the user is in motion. The high-resolution display allows users to view any one of the many applications in sharp color; these include screen projects, games, videos and the Internet.
The Wi-Fi application allows users to browse various websites, check emails and stream videos and music. Setting up the device is simple and owners are able to vary between carrier services.
This phone is extremely compact and houses a variety of features including Multimedia and Mobile Streaming which allows users to view videos and play songs via the in-built media player. The camera featured is 3.2 megapixels and can also be used to support mobile streaming as well as record videos. The phone enables users to capture images at a high print-quality with the use of auto flash; auto focus and also image stabilization in order gain sharp quality pictures.
