heir expertise as guest judges during this high fashion cycle are international fashion designer Lana Marks, model/stylist Erin Wasson, stylist Rachel Zoe, Sudanese model and actress Alek Wek, stylist/creative consultant Lori Goldstein, Italian photographer Francesco Carrozzini, fashion model Sonia Dara, IMG Models executive Ivan Bart, Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani, Brazilian designer Daniella Issa Helayel, and costume designer/stylist Eric Daman ("Gossip Girl"). 14 model hopefuls will compete for the ultimate career-launching prize package: a contract with IMG Models, one of the top international modeling management companies in the world; a fashion spread in Vogue Italia and an additional spread and cover of Beauty in Vogue; and a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics. Tyra Banks leads the panel of judges, comprised of influential fashion editor Andr? Leon Talley and photographer Nigel Barker. Jay Manuel serves as the photo shoot creative director while Miss J Alexander returns as the runway trainer. "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 16 is produced by 10 by 10 Entertainment, in association with Bankable Productions. Tyra Banks is the creator and executive producer along with Ken Mok ("Making the Band") and Laura Fuest ("Pit Boss"). It's not easy to keep things new and exciting when you're sixteen seasons in, but I suspect the forthcoming season 16 premiere has managed to do just that!iring on 23rd February on The CW, the show will be literally buzzing as it's to feature "live bees" flying around - and landing on - the hopefuls. But that's so not good news for Jaclyn who's allergic to bee stings. Oh dear


All photos of Ty-Ty in the house are of Tyra at age 16 (because it's Cycle 16, duh), including, but not limited to, the Tyra Mail graphic. As you can see, America's Next Top Model has yet to master the art of self-referential comedy (although Tyra's promo vid takes a decent crack at it). Sarah, "the bisexual polyamorous one," has a rat-tail. Huh. We wonder if that makes the cut during makeovers. Jaclyn, while she appears to be "the ditzy one," asking whether the bees they have to pose with at one point are "trained," is actually pretty adorable...and not a mind-numbing idiot. (Also, she looks a lot like Minnie Driver, no?) America's Next Top Model, the most successful reality modeling competition, is back for another season starting February 23, 2011, with 14 brand new hopeful contestants from across the United States. It's where we see teenagers in stilettos and bikinis declare their love for Tyra and then tell the cameras to remember their faces because they will be America's Next Top Model #249. But say byebye to all of that. On Cycle 16, there will be no swimsuit runway walks in front of panel, no backstage brawls, nothing. And guess what? It's almost time for America's Next Top Model Cycle 16 to start! The hit series is premiering on Wednesday, February 23 on the CW.

Cycle 16 starts off with the large group of girls arriving in L.A., hopping off the jet onto the airport's runway, and then using said airport runway as fashion runway to show Mr. and Miss J what they've got. And then the show cuts to all of the girls holding envelopes that hold their fates. If they open the envelope and there is a photo inside, they are safe. If there's a blank piece of paper inside, they're dunzo. But Tyra wanted to play a little prank and actually the 14 girls who had blank pieces of paper in their envelopes found out a few minutes later that they were the real winners. Confusing, right? A waste of time when they could have shown us all the fun that is casting, right? We thought so.
