Today's junior golfer has more access to golf equipment and golf accessories than ever before. Most people would agree that the overall growth of golf is highly dependent on the amount of today's young people that decide to participate in the game.
One of the advancements in accessories that juniors now have access to are 3 wheel push carts. These 3 wheel carts aren't just for adults anymore. There are now manufacturers who offer their full size version in a pint size junior model. There are some features in these carts that the consumer should be made aware of.
The first is to make sure that the cart has an adjustable frame. Due to the fact that there are different size junior golfers, clubs, and bags being able to adjust the frame allows the bag to fit properly on the cart itself.
Secondly, it is important to make sure that angle of the handle on the cart is easily adjustable. For taller and older juniors it would be appropriate to adjust the angle to a more upright position. On the other hand, shorter and younger juniors would benefit from adjusting the handle to a flatter position for maximum comfort.
Speaking from personal experience, most junior golfers are not allowed to drive gas or electric carts. In the past the only option was to walk the course while carrying your bag. Some junior player can play in excess of 27 to 36 holes a day, especially in the summer months when school in not in session. This amount of walking with a bag on your back can take its toll on anyone, including a junior player. The last thing any parent would want for their junior player is an injury that could have easily been avoided. With a three wheel push cart these unnecessary and sometimes permanent injuries would be evaded.
A three wheel push cart is a great way for a junior golfer to walk the course while being safe from injury. It also provides maximum comfort with minimal effort. The next time your junior asks for something golf related, give a 3 wheel push cart some serious thought. It will only make their golfing experience more enjoyable.
