Even though preschool is one of the shortest educational periods in a child's life, it is the most important. During the few formative years of preschool, children learn the foundation for nearly every future educational experience. Letters, numbers, social skills, motor skills, colors, and observation—these are the kinds of concepts and skills learned in preschool. Teaching such rudimentary principles may sound easy, but in reality preschool education is quite complex. Becoming a preschool teacher isn't easy, but it is rewarding. Get the right education degree.
Preschool education degrees are different in every state. Most states require an education degree at the bachelor level. The best degree to obtain for teaching preschool is an early childhood education degree. In an early childhood education program, you will gain the educational theory as well as the practical advice for helping preschool children to learn.

Build your creativity.
Kids need creativity. Traditional style education simply doesn't work in a room full of preschoolers. Learning happens during play. Learning happens within the matrix of interpersonal encounters, endless repetition, and out-of-the-ordinary events. Most importantly, learning happens in a safe and loving atmosphere. Through it all, creativity and outside-the-box thinking are very important.

Learn to love kids.
Most preschool teachers enter the career because of their love for kids. Not everyone has an overwhelming passion to play with 2-4 year olds. Those who do enjoy interacting with little kids find that being a preschool teacher is a job that they enjoy

Have some fun.
Preschool is supposed to be fun. Preschool teacher need to know how to have fun. Bright colors, fun songs, crazy skits, hyper play times, and a constant smile are all in a days work for a preschool teacher. The real way to enjoy it, and the best way to teach the kids, is just to have fun.
