When it comes time to take a vacation, you want to get the most enjoyment for your time, and the most bang for your buck. While you may want to do a lot of exciting and exotic things during your vacation, with today's economy, you'd think that would limit what you could expect. With a white water rafting trip, while it may not necessarily be the most exotic vacation you may ever take, it certainly isn't going to leave you lacking in the excitement department.

With a little planning, your vacation can be greatly enhanced with a trip down some awesome rivers in Colorado. By having a white water rafting trip baked into your vacation, you can rest assured that you'll have at least one part of your vacation that will be, for lack of a better word: wet! Nothing feels better on a blazing hot summer day than to be on the Colorado River shooting the rapids. Feeling the sun baking on your body as you're in the slow part of the rivers is great, but when you feel that spray, when you hit a huge rapid and the deluge of water washes over the raft, then you really realize just how great that cool water feels.

And when you shoot those rapids, there's nothing like the sensations when the power of the water moves your raft around like a kite in the wind. Running the fast sections of the river really makes you feel like you're flying, and when you skip over falls, there's no feeling like it. The levels of adrenaline pumping through your body reach levels that you just can't get with virtually any other sport, including bungee jumping. It's a totally awesome experience.

Another aspect most people forget when it comes to rafting is the scenery. Granted, having all the excitement of shooting rapids, high speed sections and even falls to drop down for those who have the nerve, the peak of an adrenaline rush is a real blast. But the feelings brought about by a beautiful section of river are those that last a lot longer than any adrenaline rush. For those who go river rafting to take pictures, they can expect to take some of the most fantastic pictures anywhere on the planet. While you can get great pictures from the bank, there is something about being in the middle of the river taking pics that you simply can't duplicate any other way.

All in all, if you want to add a level of excitement to your vacation time, there's nothing that can compare with Colorado rafting. Take the time to plan your vacation around a white water river rafting excursion and you'll have a vacation that you'll never forget. And the best part of it is, it may well be the least expensive vacation you ever go on, as well as the most exciting you'll ever experience.

Many people doubted the validity of the iPad. Did consumers really need another new flash web browsing device to decide between? What would the iPad bring to the world that a netbook, laptop or mobile phone doesn't already? Granted, it looks super stylish, with its sleek keyboard-less body, but is it really practical and more importantly functional?
Well, despite the doubters the iPad has so far been a success.

Apples latest brainchild sold three million units in its first 80 days of sale! But what makes it so appealing? The iPad supports Bluetooth and looks just like an oversized touch screen phone; however as with any new piece of technology, the iPad has its pros and cons. One of the biggest cons is that you cannot currently make a phone call with it.

You can use the internet and send emails just like you can on a netbook, laptop or mobile phone. Another pro of the iPad is that it is much more portable device than a netbook and obviously because of its 9.7 inch screen it is much more user friendly than a touch screen phone. One of the biggest advantages of the iPad is being part of the Apple family tree. This means that it has enviable access to the ever increasing App Store! There are now thousands of Apps that have been designed for the iPad.

The iPad is still developing, and with the release of the Apple iPad 3G, users can reap the benefits of 3G roaming instead of being tethered to Wi-Fi hotspots, in order to stay connected! The iPad is also becoming more popular amongst people who consume news. With its large high resolution screen it makes reading newspapers, magazines and books much more of a pleasing and desirable experience. Who needs to go the library or clutter their shelves with books when they can simply browse the iPads' vast book e-book store - iBook, which is constantly being updated? But will real booklovers forgo turning the pages of books in favour of sliding through the pages of their favourite novels? The iPad is also attracting more and more video game players too. In fact, if you could label it 'Matt's iPad' without ruining the look, it would make one of the world's best personalised gifts.

So, the iPad for the win - All in all as with any new gadget, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Consumers all have their own requirements, all of which may or may not be fulfilled by the iPad. Then again, there are those who just love to get their hands on the latest bit of technology, regardless of merit! But Apple must have done something right with the iPad, as now other companies are scrambling to release their own versions of tablets. Dell has released the Dell Streak - a tablet/Smartphone, which has 5 inch screen and runs Android. HP is also hoping to release one, rumoured to be called a ‘PalmPad'. Toshiba's first tablet running Google's Android OS is hopefully going to be released in the US in the forthcoming months.

This just leaves Apple to stay one step ahead of their competition by developing and releasing their next generation of iPad- just as well they're already working on the iPad 2 then!
